Want to give your 6 to 11 year old music lessons but don't want to waste time or money? Make it fun and make sure they come away with something more. Music is proven to help kids remember facts and we need to do all we can to reinforce learning and academics for them to be sucessful in school.
A Singing Group for 6-11 Year Olds
At Singin' Smart AZ, your kids will have fun, grow as musicians and learn through music. We start a new session every six weeks so if you missed the last start date, you can join soon. We work with children on individual and group beginning singing skills, music theory including note names, rythm, meter and tempo, ear training including pitch and interval recognition, performance guidelines and stage presence.
In some sessions we may work with instruments and we love to showcase individual students at our performances. We provide a fun atmosphere where kids will gain confidence in singing and be made to feel accepted and part of a group.
Our groups meet once a week and we have two separate locations for your convenience. You only need to choose one. Downtown Mesa is on Tuesdays or East Mesa is on Mondays from 4-5pm. Six week sessions are $40 and there is a $5 per session family discount for each sibling.
Performances
We will have at least one performance at the end of each six week session. Stay tuned for performance details.....
Teachers
Julianne Koozer
Julianne grew up with an amazing mom who homeschooled 9 children. These songs have been part of her curriculum since she was young and were fundamental in teaching her the basics of music and begining her education through memorization. Julianne plays and teaches the piano and guitar, has sung in accapella groups at Eastern Arizona College where she studied Elementary Education.
Missie Koozer
Missie attended Brigham Young University where she studied Special Education. She has grown up singing with her musical family and has developed her own children into a family band. Missie was the owner and operator of Hillmin School of Music in Mesa and was a member of the Arizona Mormon Choir.
