Dentures/Partials

Crowns and bridges are long lasting restorations that are used to repair teeth that have been compromised due to decay, fracture, or trauma. These restorations are also an excellent way to restore misaligned teeth, repair small gaps, and create a more beautiful smile! Ask Dr. Rauch how you can have a Cerec Porcelain Crown done in a single visit. No need for temporaries and a second appointment!

Inlays and onlays are restorations that can be used to replace large existing fillings, fractured teeth, or teeth with extensive decay. These restorations are a more conservative treatment than a crown, and can be done in one visit in our office!

Cerec Technology uses CAD/CAM Computer Programming to design and fabricate your new inlay, onlay, or crown in the office white you wait! This technology produces beautiful, biocompatible, all porcelain restorations that are placed while you wait. No more need for temporaries or second visits to deliver your restoration!

Veneers are a cost-effective type of cosmetic dentistry that can improve discolored, worn, chipped, or crooked teeth in your smile. Veneers are also valuable as a way to make teeth resistant to future problems associated with staining agents in your diet or habits. These restorations can be used to create a beautiful new smile!

Root Canals
Root canals are one of the most feared treatments in the dental field. A root canal is required to remove a painful or infected dental nerve. Thanks to todays technology, there are many advances in dentistry that allow you to undergo a comfortable experience even when having a root canal!

Extractions
While we will try to do as much as we can to save your teeth, it is not always possible. Extractions are sometimes the only treatment that can be done for a tooth that has a deep stress fracture, a substantial amount of decay, or is severely broken. Ask Dr. Rauch about options to replace teeth that need to be extracted using implants, bridges, or dentures.

Fillings
White, composite fillings can cosmetically blend with the adjacent tooth much better than old metal fillings, and they also offer a number of health-related benefits. As opposed to metal fillings, tooth colored fillings are bonded to healthy tooth structure. Additionally, composite fillings are not as temperature-sensitive as metal, so they do not expand as much with heat helping avoid cracking of the tooth over time.

Periodontal (Gum) Disease
Periodontal Disease describes a condition in which the health of the bone and gum tissue that support your teeth is compromised. Periodontal Disease can have significant effects on not only your oral, but systemic health!

Gingivitis is an early form of Periodontitis, or gum disease. If you experience an occasional swelling of the gums, gums that bleed after brushing or flossing, itchy gums, or bright red or purple gums, chances are you have Gingivitis. Gingivitis can be treated by having your teeth professionally cleaned, followed by a strict oral hygiene regimen, including anti-bacterial rinses. If the condition is left untreated, Gingivitis can escalate into Periodontitis. Periodontitis symptoms include those of Gingivitis, as well as, a metallic taste in the mouth, receding gums, enlarged spaces between the gums and teeth, severe halitosis (bad breath), and even loose teeth (from loss of bone).  To rid your mouth of Periodontitis, we remove the buildup of bacterial plaque and calculus, through scraping or sonic vibration. Alternatively, antibitotics may be placed between the teeth and gums, which also help to reduce plaque and combat the disease.

Dentures and partial dentures are used to replace missing teeth. In the past, the loss of teeth signaled a decline in health that could rarely be reversed. After all, it is important to all humans to eat and, therefore, to have a means of chewing their food. In many cases, dentures or partial dentures are an option that will enable patients to eat, speak, smile, and live a more normal and active life!

Teeth in a Day
Do you have existing dentures or partial dentures that no longer fit? Do you have multiple teeth that are broken down and decayed? Do you want a new smile that "locks" into place? Ask Dr. Rauch about an implant supported denture or partial denture. In many cases, the implants and your new teeth can be placed in the same day!

Teeth Whitening

Like most people, you may want a whiter, brighter smile. After all, a smile affects your relationships, and has a lasting impression on your self-image. When your smile is bright and beautiful, you are more likely to use it. For many patients, creating a smile that makes you feel more confident, is simply a matter of getting their teeth whitened!

TMJ Causes & Symptoms

Emotional and physical stress, a misaligned bite, trauma, and a host of other factors contribute to malfunction of the TMJ Joints. Symptoms include:

• Chronic headaches, including migraines
• Jaw popping or clicking
• The inability to fully open or close your mouth
• Chronic earaches
• Tingling in the fingers
• Unexplained facial, jaw, shoulder, neck, or low back pain
• Bruxism (teeth grinding)

Dr. Rauch will examine your teeth and bite and assess your jaw joint function to isolate the source of your distress. Oral appliance therapy may be recommended to restore comfortable jaw movement and alleviate pain. A thin, comfortable mouth guard worn at night relieves stressed jaw muscles and encourages them to settle into their ideal position.

Dental implants are replacement teeth made from titanium. They are used to either replace a tooth, or they can be used as an anchor for a denture or a partial denture. Implants can keep your dentures from shifting while talking or chewing. Implants also preserve your bone. Without teeth, the bone that supports your overlying facial structure begins to melt away and can make you appear older than you are. Implants slow down this process, allowing you to maintain your youthful appearance!
